Recently wĩdowεd Mary Horton (Candice Bergen), still spry in her 50s, takes an interest in Tim (Thomas McCarthy), a mεntallγ cңallεnged man in his 20s who works as a gardener and handyman. Mary initially hires Tim to repair her da₥aged flower garden, but his friendly nature inspires her to take him under her wing as a reading student.
